The Tatsu tribute illustration is finished! Had this idea for a while. Wanted to avoid using gradients at all with this one which was quite the challenge - gradients don't translate well with digital tshirt printing. It's available on T-shirts and posters from my Etsy, I'll be adding it to Redbubble later, where a wider range of products will be available.

Birds have weird mouths. Have we been drawing dinosaur mouths wrong all this time?

Welcome to Jurassic Park! Another photo study, this one from Islands of Adventure.

Photo study from a shot I took at Busch Tampa some years ago. Was just cleaning stuff out and it seemed like it would make a nice study reference.

Vegeta! Based on a manga panel, but I wanted to colour it!

Just a trio of building sketches, references were used but not religiously. Just trying to get more confident in structural forms and creating interesting fantasy buildings for theming work.

Really wanted to draw Goku's new form and tried to push myself to attempt an interesting arm and hand pose, but I wussed out of drawing the full hand. Still, came out nice.

A friend picked up the Papo Carnotaurus in Toys R Us liquidation sale for me, so I did some sketches based on it.

This is barely more than a scribble I realise... But hey, it's something! And in the efforts to keep up with art every day, we'll take a scribble now and then.

I really like how this photo study of Chaipas at Phantasiland came out. Tried to use a variety of brushes to convey the different textures.

Reworked entrance concept for Fenrir compared to the old idea from 2011. 

A Norse themed dark ride based loosely on the story of Fenrir is an idea that has been knocking about in my mind for a good 7 year now. But I've always avoided  really going into any depth with it, because coming up with a narrative is a not something I felt comfortable with.

I've just finished reading Every Guest is a Hero by Adam Berger, and it's sort of spurred me on. So today I just wrote down what I had, did some research about Norse mythology, and fleshed it out with the skills learnt from that book.

Then I redrew Fenrir. I want his aesthetic to carry the rest of the attraction. He's the most important thing.

Really happy with how the colour came out for this. I've been avoiding cell-style hard shadows for years but they ain't so bad.

I coloured that Beerus sketch from a while back! I tried something different with the shading on this one, but not sure I pushed it far enough really.
