I quite like this sketch of Morb, but he doesn't really look like him. I dunno.

Sketch of Morb. Hadn't drawn him in a while, wanted to practise walking pose... Tricky.

100th post this year!

Matching 2010 in post count, so this year is set to have more posts than any year previous on this blog. I was at uni in 2010 too, so most of the work being posted was uni project stuff. This year, most of the work here is personal digital sketching, and looking back the growth is rather awesome. So I'm quietly proud of that.

I'm thinking about taking a short course or 2 next year... Architectural drawing and maybe something theatre set design based maybe?

Here's a sketch of Morb from the other day. Attempted foreshortening from imagination, something I'm not so hot at. But the only way to get better is to practise.

Morb colour piccy I drew the other week. Few friends were round and we were all just drawing quietly to music.

Drew this picture of Morb yesterday whilst streaming it live. :)

Just morb, sitting around. :) I like how the shorts came out.

Wanted to do something wintery and play with brush marks. Scrawled this digitally yesterday.

I have this weird habit of drawing human-bodied characters too elongated. So I tried to force myself not to with this.

Also decided I was going to draw a difficult pose, that of course didn't go so swimmingly.

What makes this pose difficult? I think it's because it's a real, normal pose so it's more obvious when it's wrong? Also, crossed arms, who even knows how they work. Everyone crosses their arms slightly different too. #Excuses. And then there's the foreshortening issue with the leg that I failed at miserably.

His eyes are also a bit squiffy.

That's why he's so pissed off.
