Been a hot minute since I drew Arrow.

This was a commission featuring a character based on a Korean animated movie called "Aachi & Ssipak".

Sigh, never going to beat last years post count at this rate! Slacking big time.

Here's a couple of Arrow sketches. 

It was his 11th birthday on the 11th of Feburary. I forgot, as I do every year. In 2004, I first drew Arrow the Porcupine - a character designed to fit in with the Sonic the Hedgehog universe.

I think today is his birthday. Happy 10th, Arrow!

So, Sonic Boom was properly announced the other day.

I'd heard rumours about the designs from those in the industry and was scared, but actually I rather like the outcomes...

So of course, I had to try and work the Sonic boom conventions into a design for Arrow. Here's a quick concept. 

I actually think this quill style is the way forward for his design in general. 

Thinking about doing an Arrow 10 year anniversay picture. Sketched this the other day...

I can't think of anything fun or creative though. But this came out nice.

He'll be 10 this year. Seriously cannot believe that ten years ago I first drew this guy and posted him on deviantArt. Like, seriously, ten years ago. A decade ago. I'm old.

Sketches...

Stellar and Fleetway's version of Super Sonic. The version I grew up with in the British Sonic the Comic. He's insane, and thus awesome. I really fancy trying out an epic picture of him. But first I need practice drawing him.

Most interesting thing to note about these sketches is that they are facing right. I never draw anything facing right. Seriously, scroll through my blog. No idea why, just doesn't feel natural.

Tired tonight. Had a very good day at work doing stuff I enjoy with people I like, but for some reason now I'm exhausted. The weather's finally taken a nosedive too, it was cold today.

Finished this!

Arrow as a Werepine, inspired by the Sonic the Werehog game. Think he works pretty well as a beast, haha. Fun, and not as scary as I thought, to work with no lines. I tried to keep it a little messy and loose, but in areas it's kinda too overworked where I struggled a bit with it. Probably could be cropped a little at the bottom but I like that shadow.

It's been a while since I did a full digital paint of Arrow. Or anything, for that matter! 

I had this idea for a picture back at the start of the year and scribbled it down, but decided to take it to Photoshop just over a week ago. 

It's probably 3 solid days work at a guess. I found a brush I really like to use. The perspective is bothersome, but I'm rather proud of the colour choices in this, for the most part.

Arrow was 8 back in February. Crazy. Scares me a bit how life speeds up as you get older.
