This is the model of the entrance for Elang, painted and in a more "finished" state. Made from polystyrene and clay and other bits and pieces. Need to take better photos, I think it's pretty awesome really and this doesn't do it justice.

I'm going to set myself the goal of beating last years blog post total, as they have increased every year but I'm not set to beat last year if I carry on at this rate! Must make more art!

Been making models today. I've been having trouble working out how the eagle statue would look from various angles, so I decided to make a maquette... It's scruffy and stuff but It'llhopefully serve it's purpose. Need to put him in the oven, as he's made of Sculpey. (And foil and wire and milliput, which is my new best friend.)

And as a test to see how various materials work I started on this polystyrene and clay (with some card and string and foil) model of the ride entrance to what, for now, shall be referred to as Elang (Eagle in, erm... Indonesian I think?).

We have to do promotional material for a uni project, and I've wanted to do a simple portfolio website for a long time now. So here's some stuff...

I went to the awesome cemetary down my road to draw from life and painted this horrendously bad watercolour sketch.

Sketchbook pages from this past week, developing ideas for two different attractions/areas. One set in Europe, one set in Asia. Spent yesterday at John's disgussing and sketching ideas. It was productive. I had intended to just try and get out a magnitude of different ideas, but that didn't exactly go to plan this week. Probably still should just in case something else is a better idea.








And a few environment studies, not been doing these as much as I would like. :| The top one is pretty good though I think, I spent time really looking at perspective and correxcting it in that one. Getting there.
