I havn't been drawing in my free time enough recently. Have a big sketchdump to compensate.

Fuzzy raptors...

Dragons...

Morb, who hasn't made an appearance on this blog in months...

A picture of Arrow for Kyle, because he's on holiday and MISSED. :C

And ride idea that I thought I'd jot down before I forget it forever...

This one is mockup page that David roughed out and that I filled in... It looks pretty good, some things I really don't like about it though - namely the textures don't look half as nice as they were in other experiments. But still, getting there!

Still waiting for some textures to bloody dry.

A couple more dino skull screen prints on t-shirts. These two are commissions.

My interpretation how pages 4-5 should be. I think the wolf should extend to become the background of page 5. Possibly doesn't even need anything else on page 5, but I've put a panel in for an example. Since page 4 has a sequence showing the wolf's growth, having a wolf which takes up 3/4 of the double page spread seems logical to me.

My ideas for pages 10-19

Some experiment examples to give a bit more weight to my poor thumbnails above.

Here's some more -shirts. This time a screen print of a Tyranosaurus Rex skeleton. I thought I'd try an interesting placement of the print, but I don't think the actual print is as big as I'd like, so I might try another variation with a more interesting species.

This one is on khaki greeny/brown and is Medium. The closeup of the print doesn't look much like the actual colour of the shirt. The colour in the first pic is more accurate.

This one is brown and size small.

If you're interested in buying these t-shirt, or requesting another size/colour, they are £10 + P&P. E-mail me for more information at joeyfells@gmail.com.

Please excuse endless scribbles. Using this blog as a visual communications device with Dave for our collaborative project. We're making a book. A weird picture book/graphic novel hybrid with pretty pictures and a rather telling metaphorical story about being an artist. Sort of. It's going to be awesome. I hope. Now in the third year of study, it seems like a better time than ever for this.

These are visual ideas I've had that I hope will inspire Dave to make awesome page compositions and a narrative that flows.

And after many pages filled with pencil lines that don't appear to make any sense, we decided the wolf should maybe be going left with the room to have birds errupting from it's arse. The problem is composing it on a double page spread.

This image is based on a page rough that Dave did, and is a mish mash of various components in photoshop. It's an experiment to see if that works. I rather like it. It's very Dave, but it's very me too.

Floaty zombie wolf made more sense at the time. Honest.

More wolves. I pretty much hate all the ones that are supposed to look scary.
