Here's another messy digital painterly portrait of Morb! This one is a little more toony than the previous two. I like it. :)

I'm also working on adding colours to this sketch from earlier this year.

It's been a difficult few days, it's been time for the "get stuff done" therapy. I typically only update this blog from my desktop, which is often only on these days to do other stuff.

Quick dragon, playing around with digital brushes.

I'm starting up another blog... It's going to be about being frugal. Dunno how long it'll be until there is actual content, but I'll keep you guys posted.

I've got the Macbook back and my wallet is £150 lighter, but my surge of desktop use has made me appreciate sitting upright at a desk and, like I said in a previous post, it encourages drawing. Now to just clear my desk of stuff...

This one started off incredibly whimsically, a "just for fun" mess. I pulled up a couple of references and just started scrawling in black acrylic. It turned out quite nice in the end though, but it made me realise how much I need to get up town and take loads of photo references because I have so few unused ones.

EDIT: The original is now for sale. :) Have a looky here!

These are quite a lot of fun to do. Feels whimsical and freeeee. I like the colours in this one, but it feels a little off and too toony for the style, to me.

My Macbook is broken. Which is good and bad. It means I'm on the desktop and more motivated to use the tablet. I don't like using it on the small laptop screen. The last few days have been a real mix of good and bad in general.

An opossum character who's currently nameless.

I like opossums. I think they're neat.

Worried he looks too much like a rat though?

I really like how this came out.

Though what I need to do is find a way to get something "sketched out" without working over itself too much, if that makes sense? With this, proportions and such are somewhat dodgy because I was concentrating too much on mark making and not enough with getting the form worked out.

Maybe I should do some stuff like this but from photo refs. And then try doing this over sketches, see what happens.

Tired tonight. This heat is getting to me.
